Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of the late pop icon Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, passed away in Atlanta on Sunday (July 26). She was 22 years old.

The young actress' death comes nearly six month after she was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub at her townhouse in Roswell, Ga., on Jan. 31. Since then, she was placed in a medically-induced coma, then transported to Emory University Hospital and a rehabilitation facility in March. Finally, in June, Bobbi Kristina, also a singer like her lauded mother, was moved to hospice care as her condition worsened.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," her family told NBC News in a statement (via 11Alive News). "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

Authorities are still investigating the circumstance surrounding Bobbi Kristina's death. Recently, Brown's conservator filed a lawsuit accusing Nick Gordon, her boyfriend, of abuse and claims he took money from her without authorization.

Upon hearing the news of Bobbi Kristina's death, several rappers and singers, including Erykah Badu, Missy Elliott, Dizzy Wright, K. Michelle and many others, went on Twitter to express their condolences.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the Houston and Brown families. May Bobbi Kristina Brown rest in peace.
