Was Beyonce's body too bootylicious for H&M? Apparently so, if we are to believe the tabloid reports.

According to U.K.'s The Sun, the R&B diva demanded H&M executives remove photos from the company's current Summer 2013 Collection campaign after she found out that the images were doctored to make her curvy figure slimmer.

If this is true, shame on H&M.

This story comes after H&M CEO Karl-Johan Persson told the media that in the future the retail chain will use female models of all shapes and sizes in ad campaigns.

"We have a huge responsibility here," he said (quotes courtesy of Vogue UK). "We're a large company, many people see us, and we advertise a lot. We want to show diversity in our advertising and not give people the impression that girls have to look a particular way. By and large, I think we've succeeded: we've many different kinds of models from different ethnic backgrounds."

"In our last campaign we had a somewhat more buxom model, and now we're using Beyonce, who's a bit curvier as well," he continued. "I believe that the models in our advertising should look sound and healthy."

H&M also shot down rumors that Beyonce was reportedly mad at them for altering her photos and demanding that only the original photos be used. A rep for the retailer would only say that "both H&M and Beyonce are very happy with the campaign."

So far, Beyonce has refused to address the matter as she is too busy performing on her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

In the meantime, it's good to see that H&M plans to present a healthy, body-positive image in their advertising campaigns.
