After his experimental run on 2010's 'Libra Scale,' Ne-Yo goes back to the basics with 'R.E.D.,' an album loaded with signature R&B songs and dance floor-ready anthems.

One thing that Ne-Yo has got going for himself is that he knows how to craft songs with his trusty pen. Bolstered by 'Let Me Love You,' his top 40 pop hit, the singer keeps the party jumping with 'Forever Now' and 'Shut Me Down.' 'Stress Reliever' is a lovely ballad with the crooner revealing his intimate side through his delicate vocals. Ne-Yo then goes country on the tender 'She Is' featuring Tim McGraw -- the tune might become a big 2013 hit for him.

As Ne-Yo points out in 'Cracks in Mr. Perfect,' he's not the perfect guy and he has faults. While that may be true, his songwriting abilities are absolutely flawless.
