By the time the video for 'If Your Girl Only Knew' released in 1996, Aaliyah had already become a mainstay in R&B with hits like 'Back & Forth' and 'Age Ain't Nothin' But a Number.' However it was this video that really stuck out in many fans' minds probably because of the big names that made cameos here including Missy Elliott, Timbaland,  Lil' Kim, Ginuwine and 702. Although it did well on the Billboard Hot 100 that year, the song was re-released on a double A-side with 'One in a Million,' taking it to the 15th position on the charts.
