Angie Martinez is best known for her years as a well-known radio jock for New York City's Hot 97, which earned her the name of the "Voice of New York."

However, she also branched out and gave rapping a shot. Although she released two albums in the early 2000s, Martinez’s music career really hit a milestone when she, Lil’ Kim, Da Brat, Left Eye and Missy Elliott on ‘Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix).’ The song became a huge success for all the women who worked on it, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Even though it looks like Martinez’s rhyming days are over, there’s no doubt of the power she has on the airwaves once she gets behind the mic.
