60: Shontelle – Powerful Women of 2013

The first time we heard about Shontelle, she was singing about lounging in her boyfriend's clothes when she misses him in the 2008 tune, 'T-Shirt.' After gaining some success with that track, she joined New Kids on the Block and Beyonce on their respective tours.

While she enjoyed the exposure opening for these acts, she gained her own momentum with the release of her 2010 single, 'Impossible.'

Now on a new label, Republic Records, Shontelle has been writing for other artists as well as recently releasing 'Put Me On Blast,' the first single off of her upcoming third album -- set to drop at some point this year. Shontelle also teamed up with some of YouTube's big stars to sing her hit 'Impossible' at the Streamy Awards on Feb. 17.
