Getting her start as a backup dancer for the likes of New Kids on the Block and Janet Jackson, the first time we really got to see Jennifer Lopez was as a Fly Girl on the TV show 'In Living Color.' She soon flexed her acting muscles and launched a film career, which would make her fame soar.

Her music and acting paths collided in 1997's 'Selena,' the biopic depicting the late Mexican singer's rise and ultimate demise. After having the opportunity to play a singer, she wanted to do it herself and soon cut a demo in Spanish.

She released 'If You Had My Love,' her first single,' in 1999, which became an instant hit. Her debut album, 'On the 6,' was a smash and gave her pop star status. She's since released six more albums and dropped even more chart-topping hits. Lopez recently announced that she is back in the studio working on new material with rappers like Future.

She even scored a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last month. Go J.Lo!
