Growing up in a musical family, it only seemed natural for Elle Varner to follow the same path. Writing her first song at 11, the singer's efforts were praised early on and she was offered the opportunity to study at the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at NYU, where she graduated in 2008.

She signed a publishing deal with MBK/J-RCA in 2009. Her debut LP, 'Perfectly Imperfect,' was released in 2012, and landed in the fourth spot on the Billboard 200 chart and the second spot on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums in the first week.

Currently, she's working on her sophomore album, on which she teams with hitmakers Pop & Oak as well as Eric Hudson, DJ Dahi, Da Internz and Hit-Boy. In addition, Miguel, Luke James and Stacy Barthe announced a new collective they formed called Nouveau Noir.
