Known as the Queen of Neo-Soul, Erykah Badu is a unique artist that produces music according to her own rules.

Celebrating the 16th anniversary of her debut album, 'Baduizum,' this year, the LP was a clear introduction of the talent to come from this songstress. The effort debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts, and its lead single, 'On & On,' broke the top 20 on the U.S. and U.K. singles charts. Not only did the album go triple platinum, but it, as well as 'On & On,' won Badu Grammys in 1998.

Following the success of 'Baduizm,' she released four studio albums and a live LP. Although she may not be a music making machine with new albums every second, she is big on the live circuit with nine tours already under her belt and more this year. She even wowed crowds at this year's SXSW and at the BET Awards alongside Kendrick Lamar.  And according to some reports, she will featured on Tyler the Creator's next album.
