With 17 Grammys, 118 million records sold internationally and being one half of hip-hop's top power couple, it's really no surprise that Beyonce tops our list as the most powerful woman of 2013.

As part of Destiny's Child, the group ended up becoming one of the highest-selling and most iconic girl groups of all time. They even have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. After the group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2001, Beyonce worked on and released 'Dangerously in Love' in 2003. She and her then boyfriend, Jay Z, released ''03 Bonnie & Clyde,' which not only became an instant success but also showed the beginning of a powerful (and beautiful) partnership. Her solo career took off as soon as it started, and the singer has since released three more albums, which all received loved from critics, topped the charts and won awards.

This year has been a busy one for this star. She, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have gotten back together to release 'Love Songs, and performed at the Super Bowl. She's currently on her epic Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and released a new track from her upcoming fifth album, 'Bow Down/I Been On.' And of course, she's being a good mama to her baby, Blue Ivy. Beyonce embodies the qualities of the 21st century woman -- she's strong, a multitasker and does everything with grace.
